Secure Trailers Shippers and Brokers Trust.

Your trailer dictates the freight networks you can enter. Buying the wrong setup or missing certain specifications can result in missed opportunties or restricted lanes.

Brokers don't just look at your authority, they look at your equipment configuration. High-value freight often requires specific suspension setups, and flooring types.

Whether you are launching a Class 8 semi-fleet or a nimble hotshot operation, understanding your equipment is critical. Use our specifications below to plan your asset acquisition.

Class 8 Semi Configurations

Dry Van (53' x 102" x 13'6")

Capacity for 26-28 standard pallets.

Look for sliding tandems to balance axle weights and a durable wood floor.

Aluminum roofs are preferred over leak-prone translucent styles.

High-value brokers may mandate air-ride suspensions.

Refrigerated / Reefer (53' x 102")

Units equipped with continuous and start/stop modes.

Due to heavy insulation, cargo capacity drops to 42,000–44,000 lbs.

Key features include aluminum duct flooring for airflow and a clean ceiling chute.

Remote telematics may be required by top brokers.

Flatbed (48' or 53' Combo)

A 48ft aluminum deck with a steel frame is the industry standard for optimal weight savings and maneuverability.

Capable of pulling up to 48,000 lbs.

Spread axles are preferred to simplify loading.

Hotshot Gooseneck Rigs

Non-CDL Setup (14,000 - 16,000 lbs GVWR)

Often explicitly de-rated by the manufacturer on paper to keep the operation strictly Non-CDL.

Typically 33 to 40 feet long with flip-over mega-ramps that lay flat to maximize deck space.

Delivers an actual payload capacity of roughly 8,000 to 10,000 lbs.

Class A CDL Setup (22,000 - 25,900 lbs GVWR)

Heavy-duty Gooseneck utilizing dual 10k or 12k axles, pushing total GCWR between 33,000 and 44,000 lbs.

Usually a 40-foot length featuring a 5-foot self-cleaning dovetail or mega-ramps.

Built to legally handle 15,000 to 20,000 lbs of actual freight.
